On the 17th March Flex N Bass will launch its brand new monthly Drum and Bass event at Base Bar, Sukhumvit soi 18. This exciting collaboration of Flexout Audio’s DJ/Producer Retraflex and Bassdrive / UB Radio’s DJ Amnesty promises to be one of the hottest underground events this month.
Residing at one of the newest venues in Bangkok Base Bar, this will be an intimate evening of the freshest, hottest underground Drum and Bass sounds. Base Bar is a hidden gem on Sukhumvit Road, serving up cheap drinks and the best music this city has to offer. Just a short walk from Sukhumvit Road down Sukhumvit soi 18 Base Bar is quickly developing a reputation as one Bangkok’s premier pre-party and party destinations.
Flexout Audio is an independent record label based in London and has over 50 releases. Ran by former Retraflex member Bassi, Stephen Retraflex is now based in Bangkok and wanted to somewhere to showcase the wealth of fresh music his label has to offer. Alongside Amnesty from the world’s premier Drum and Bass radio station Bassdrive they felt that the current night scene lacked what they were looking for in a night – fresh upfront Drum and Bass.
Stephen Retraflex said “In the current scene in Bangkok we just felt that what we were looking for in a night out wasn’t out there so we just thought we would do it ourselves! We both have access to the hottest Drum and Bass around so we just want somewhere to showcase this incredible music. Base Bar was the perfect place because we wanted an intimate venue in a good central location and we cannot wait to get started!”
