The Freshly Squeezed Sounds story…

“It started with a sound, one which resonated throughout the rowdy crowd and rendered it silent. Live Lounge Bkk had only recently been born, and on this one fateful evening in September 2016 the weekly open mic night had just begun.

Amidst the audience, a boy with ripped jeans and floppy blonde hair leapt off his chair unannounced and asked to play a song, we didn’t know who he was, but there was a strange air of expectation when our host announced that: “In the spirit of Open Mic, we are making room for a surprise performance, so please welcome…”. He got onto the stage, borrowed a guitar, and with an glint in his eye began to strum a melody There was silence, and all eyes had turned to the stage.

Then out of nowhere came his voice, high-pitched, wrought with the agony which inspired the love song he was singing. For three minutes he held the audience captive with his effortless brilliance, a feeling that resonated with all in attendance. The crowd erupted at the end of this song and gave him a standing ovation. The magic of live performance had been truly captured in that moment and the spine-tingling atmosphere was felt by all. This was a venue made for Live Performance.

From this moment, Freshly Squeezed Sounds was born – and a commitment was made to build a platform for original music and showcase the extraordinary talents of South-east Asia’s emerging arts scene.”

Her music is highly evocative, drawing inspiration from the bands such as The Staves, The Oh hello's, Zee Avi, Damien Rice, Of Monster and Men and Kodaline- to name but a few.

Her band includes 3 other talented musicians:

* Oh – Guitar, Ukulele, Sub vocals
* Jued - Violin, Mandolin
