Never Never Land — WTF 7th Anniversary Festival
28-30 April 2017
WTF Cafe & Gallery, Bangkok
In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s a crazy world out there, and it’s not going to get better anytime soon. Since opening in 2010, WTF has always been a sanctuary from the wild-ness of the world. And not just for the guests: given what we’ve been through in the last 7 years in Thailand, opening a bar and running a political and socially conscious gallery is no easy ride. We, too, use it as an escape from reality. If it wasn’t for our little community and your support, we’d have long ago jumped ship.
To celebrate WTF 7th Anniversary on 28-30 April 2010, WTF Café and Gallery will host What The Festival 2017 under the theme of “Never Never Land” — an imagined community or society that is capable of making its citizens happy. We want to celebrate our 7 years surviving the challenges of the world. So stop by to stop being negative!
The festival gathers a diverse array of artists and creative talents to help shape our collective response to a changing Bangkok, a changing Thailand and a changing world. The programme includes: a group exhibition “Never Never Land” by a selected group of artists from Bangkok and beyond, the launch of a new wall mural, a Bombyx/Poetry reading, famous and no-name DJs, food, drinks at the original Block Party.
